About me People often know me as Caracal, but my name is Peter and I've been spriting since I was 18 years old. If you get the reference, I'm also a big fan of comic books, especally Spider-Man. Anyway, I got into spriting due to a forum. I wanted to make a Sonic/Super Sonic vs Shadow/Super Shadow signature banner for myself and used Google Image search to try and fine a picture of Super Shadow. Sadly I got nothing. However I did manage to find Psy's Shadow sheet and through that discovered the art of making sprite comics. As time went on I started to make contacts such as my good friend Piccolo920. Through him I was able to become staff on my first major site Warped Incz. It was a wonderful site, but sadly a change to FTP and at the time an inability to use it forced me to leave the site. I was breifly staff on another site called "Death Dude Inc" which is where I received my first positive feedback on my work. Sadly my comic – “Chaos Tales version 1” was the only comic to score more than 5/10,as it managed to score 8/10, and the only comment was weak earlier comics. Eventually I decided to leave DDI and return to Warped Incz. Pic managed to set me up with a great FTP. Ahh Warped Incz. What a wonderful site. We had some great people back then. Phear did some great stuff, DP seemed like a great guy though I never got around to reading his work and of course, my good friend Piccolo920 was there. Additioanly there was the infamous AkumaTH. Sadly the site just upped and died without any notification and for a few months I was left alone, stranded on the internet with no-where to show my work bar a few forums. Then I was introduced to Maverick. I showed my comic, “Warriors of Chaos” to Mav, asking for a spot on Mtek and he gave me one. Since joining Mtek I did everything I could to try and up interest. I suggested we hired Piccolo920 and Specter, and suggested some sites we could affiliate with. However all good things must come to an end. For various reasons Mav had to close the old version of Mtek unless someone was able to pay for it. Lacking a decent income I wasn't able to take it over and the site died. I then left to join Sonic Boom, partly because there were good fans of my work and because it looked like a wonderful site. There I met various people I now consider to be good friends including Typhoon/Tom, Chris/DarkOverord, SF, DeN, HMS, Rio and Kirimo. When Mav told me Mtek was being brought back, I helped him recruit various people, including long time Mtek fan Typhoon. I also stayed as a staff member on Sonic Boom, though I do give Mtek a bit more attention. And so that brings my history up to date. My comics are mainly fighting, drawing upon my real life interest in martial arts and various manga series. My main comic is Chaos Tales. I'm currently making the third version of the series. As stated above, the original version of Chaos Tales (which I often refer to as "Chaos Tales version 1") was given 8/10 and marked down due to the iffy about four dozen or so comics that I made when I started. As a result I eventually decided to drop the series and started again (and refer to this version as "Chaos Tales version 2"). This time, I did everything I could to ensure I got the plot right first time around. Sadly I wrote myself into a corner after six issues and once again started over, creating "Chaos Tales version 3". This one has been successful so far. I've managed to make fifteen comics with little problem and have a number of ideas planned for later on. My other series include "Fedgna a Plenty; Eight Emerald" which is a tribute to Piccolo920's comic "Fedgna a Plenty". However once the current plot is finished I intend to re-name it as "Eight Emerald; Reality Reboot". There is also "Hunters of Light", a joint comic I make with Typhoon and DarkOverord. This was only recently started so there aren’t that many comics in the series yet. I’ve also made various other series like “Adventures of Pants”, “Warriors of Chaos” and “Warriors Across Dimensions”. As stated above I’m a martial artist. My other hobbies include fitness training, photography, writing (something I should start doing soon), attempting to master the art of drawing, reading comics and manga, listening and occasionally making music and playing games. My goals in life include starting a family and mastering various styles of martial arts. |

About me Originally from Staten Island, New York, I moved to Defiance, Ohio to marry my beautiful wife Marie. I am a technical support guy at MetaLink Technologies AND I work at Sears as an Electronic's associate. Two jobs does tend to get a bit hectic or confusing at times, which is why my updates are spuratic. I got into sprite comics a looong time ago, before the year 2000 thanks to my friend Trunks. Before that, I used to make Sonic fan games (none good mind you ^_^). Now, run Mtekbeta with Caracal as well as the Maverick's Lab section. Some of you might think Maverick's designed was derrived from Shadow the Hedgehog. This is not true, as Maverick has been around since 1996 (though I did base his origin on Shadow's story). |
